Being boring is so boring
Just because you have always used oil paint, does not mean you always have to use oil paint, or pastels or fix motor bikes, or whatever it is that allows you to express your creativity. 
Don’t be afraid to try something different. Change your medium, change your style, change your subject… change your mind.
Just because you always drive the same route to work every day, doesn’t mean you can’t vary it. Just because year after year, you always have the same opinions about politics and religion and television etc. does not mean that you are right.
Sometimes you need to try an alternative point of view just to get a proper reference on what you already have. It is good to have a shakeup every now and then and to be forced to review your situation.
Get out of your routine and experiment with different styles, ideas and mediums. You don’t have to be predictable, that is very similar to being boring.
Well I hope I convinced you that you are boring… and I hope you intend to do something about it! And now that you realise just how boring you really are, isn’t time you took a risk and tried something new? It might work… it might not, but change sure beats boredom!

doing the same thing over again may be boring,
singing the same song without changing the tune may be boring too…
but when one believes in what course to take when the tides are high,
or on what pitch to set the harp to suit the bride..then the path to dynamic sense of path creeps in. then the liveliness begins; and the history of boredom forgotten…erased.
